The famous German solar architect Rolf Disch innovated the reintegration of building materials and building structures and the application of various ecological technologies, and invented the solar rotating house. When you see the solar panels on the roof of this house produce 5 times more energy than the house consumes, you will find this to be unbelievable.
Disch built the house and called it Heliotrope, which can follow the sun, and the structural feature is to use three panes of thermal insulation glass to let light into the room while keeping the interior cool.
The solar-powered roof solar panel, known as the Solar Sail, has a huge capacity of 66,000 kilowatts. It can absorb light energy and inject it into the house and the power grid. The solar heat collector on the balcony railing can act as a water heater and radiator. On cloudy days, the house can be heated with wood chips and solar heat.
When the solar sail itself rotates, it will separate from the house and can adjust its best position at any time. This makes it superior to traditional rooftop solar panels by 30% to 40% in terms of energy output. Inside the house, wastewater is reused through a purification and reuse system, while rainwater is collected in a roofed pool, and the toilet system can convert human waste into compost.
At present, two other Heliorope have been built, each costing about 2 million US dollars.
